Review the Stomp Rules and Invisibility Psychic Power.
There was a huge thread about this earlier, and it was trying to either enforce Snap Firing on to Stomp Attacks (which aren't Shooting Attacks) or not allowed due to having to roll a 6 on To-Hit in Melee.
Stomp Attacks are not Shooting Attacks nor are they Melee Attacks, they are their own special Stomp Attacks. They have their own abilities To-Hit, can be used against Engaged models, and can be used against models unEngaged in the same combat or at all.

Snap Fire only applies to shooting attacks as per Invisibility. Stomp is not a shooting attack so is not restricted by the "need to roll to hit" requirement of Snap Fire given by Invisibility.
So yes you can stomp an invisible unit.

Well it actually says on the invisiblity rule that they also require 6s to hit with melee attacks also not just shooting Automatically Appended Next Post: I was told that template weapons are negated against invisiblity but I can't find that anywhere in the rules either

Still not snap shot. It says in close combat when you roll to hit you hit on 6+. Stomp doesn't roll to hit so that has no effect on Stomp
Needing to hit on 6+ is not the same a Snap Shots.

Its not Invisibilty that negates templates, its Snap Fire that negates templates. Since Snap Fire only applies to shooting it has no effect on this situation.

Stomp attacks are the most available counter to invisible units. If your tournament allows units with stomp attacks, you can expect them to target your invisible death star. Plan your list and strategy accordingly.
I'm playing in a tournament right now that excludes Lord of War units and does not nerf Invisibility. This means an invisible death star will certainly top this meta. This is a great example of why 7th edition requires modification.

huh?
If they hadn't modified the LoW unit in the first place then that wouldn't be an issue or?

I think his reasoning is that LOW units are more likely to have stomp than units from other battlefield roles.

But they had to modify 7th to make that an issue to begin with?

Snap shooting means blast weapons can't shot. stomp is not a blast or a melee weapon its a auto hit. Stomp doesn't need to role to hit pierod. Just d3 for how many stomps.
