Spent a little more time with the book and got some models in the works. What do you think?

Earthshakers force my opponent to move forward, and into my other artillery range. Bodies hold the line to prevent advancement on artillery while the Ravagers hump artillery pieces in case of terminator deepstrike. (If opponent has a bigger deeptstriking force Ill dedicate more troops to backfield. Not too worried about fliers as my meta doesn't play them often enough.

Looked good until I saw the Slaanesh blob, better to run two ten men squads with a couple of blast masters each.

Don't like the 20 I5, FNP, 3+ wounds? It's a bit expensive, (390pts) but I've used it before. It looks intimidating and as long as your opponent doesn't have a hard counter (ap3 blast templates) it is ridiculously hard to shift. It's also pretty good in the assault due to I5, volume of dice, and the powerfists.

Do you really think I need more blast templates? I could squeeze in two CSM squads (not running cultists with Renegades) and two noise marines squads for the price of the Blob to make it a CAD, but I lose some board control and my distraction carnifex with teeth

Can keep it an allied detachment can't you? Two troops allowed... Blastmasters rock so why not

They're elite choices and an allied detachment only has one elite slot. To make them troops my Lord has to have MoS AND be the primary detachment. But he can't running renegades sadly.

I would drop Militia Training on the barrage artillery and give the Rapiers additional crew (they only have 1 crewmen base so another wound really helps, artillery always uses the gun's toughness when its being shot at, so no worry about majority toughness).

Not a fan of the CSM detachment, but I get it if you want to go for a themed army or something. Imo, CSM compliment R&H well by bringing Flyers (Heldrakes, Hell Blades, Fire Raptors) and Sicarans, not much else. If you want speed and/or melee, go Daemons.

19 Daemonettes, a Herald of Slaanesh with the Exalted Loci, possibly in a Bunker with an Escape Hatch to launch them up the board (deploy 12", disembark 6", run d6+3" and you're in your opponent's face) could work.

I forgot they had to be primary detachment to be unlocked as troops, that really sucks! You could always take the purge as your chaos space marine detachment and go for two squads of chosen as your mandatory elites slots (no mark or Nurgle only though). That way at least it is two different detachments rather than double CAD. One of the chosen squads could still take the Draznichts Ravagers upgrade in the Purge.

I have to keep Militia Training, it's part of the Bloody Handed Reaver upgrade. The daemonette swarm sounds fun but I don't have the models for it. Will definitely buy another crew member for each gun though!

If I took the purge (and take out the blob) I could grab two more Chosen Squads with all flamers (to take advantage of the Shred fire rule in the Purge) and a squad of plague marines with meltas and still have some points left over (30pts). OR I could bring in 3 termicide squads (45pts extra).

Flamer chosen are cool but with all the small arms and the mortars I got I don't think it's really necessary.
