After a very long break from playing (15 years!!!) I'm looking for other players to get back into gaming. I play 40k orks, imperial guard and blood Angels. I've never really played Warhammer, but Age of Sigmar looks interesting to me, and would be willing to try it out (though there looks like there's a lot of hate amongst warhammer players for this edition).

Hi. Welcome to Dakka. AOS certainly is a topic of much discussion here on Dakka, I personally like it, but many on here don't. Just don't let them influence how you think of the game, come to your own decision regarding it.

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

Orks! Good man/woman/gretchin!

If you're open to AoS, you may be open to Saga, Lion Rampant/Dragon Rampant, Ronin and Frostgrave - have a look at the historical and other games while you're here, I've personally found it useful for finding gaming systems!

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

IceAngel wrote:I must say Knightley, I am very envious of your squiggle ability. I mean, if squiggles were a tactical squad, you'd be the sergeant. If squiggles were an HQ, you'd be the special character. If squiggles were a way of life, you'd be Doctor Phil...

I haven't been up that way for a very long time, but I remember Gobstyks was always a popular club.

Welcome to the forum! AoS is something that is very polarised, and as is aforementioned there is a ton of discussion on Dakka.

Thanks to everyone who posted here.

Regarding AoS I like the look of the round bases, and quite like the new minis in the starter set. As it looks good value I may just pick it up and go from there.
