Hey guys whats up?

I was thinking of making a CSM army based on the Wolves of Horus. Though there really isn't much info on them (That I could find.) Does any one know anything about them?

If I cant find anything I will just make some stuff up as I go that fits with what we do know. According to the Wiki their colors are not on record but I am thinking something with white. 1. it would harken back to the old days of the Luna Wolves and 2. It is the direct opposite of the Black Legion which they of course left cause they are not Abaddon fans.

I think they seem like a cool war band missing the old days of the wolves and leaving Abaddon after his failures.

Any thoughts or info to share?

well, AFAIK they would basically either run the wolf symbol or the eye of Horus symbol. It kind of depends on their outlook. Many black legion CSM were ashamed of Horus's failure and they was why they painted their armor black (at least that is the rational given in the Talon of Horus I think). So if they reject both abbadon and Horus, they might return to the original bone white and grey armor of the original Luna Wolves. but if they are not ashamed of Horus, as their name would suggest, just painting them up like classic sons of horus would be great.

As far as tactics and models, I would think a lot of terminators and pods (dread claw form FW). deep striking and hitting hard. that seems to be the SOH method in 30k and it could translate well into 40k.

I appreciate the reply! I was thinking maybe making a combination of the wolf and the eye for their symbol.

I was also thinking of white as I said before. I think it's what they will go with because I get the feeling the miss the days of the Luna wolves. Though if I paint them up like the regular sons I could just use them for both armies.
