Ok, there are 18 legions to choose from. I buy armies by how I like the fluff and how I like the models.
I don’t like the fluff of IW, NL, WB, DA, SW and IH. Friends of mine already play UM and Salamanders. I don’t like the Model of Fulgrim,I don't want to paint red, and I don’t want to play bikes.

Here is a list of models I want to use. Please tell me which legion would fit best:

Primarch+10Terminators in a Spartan Assault Tank
Sicaran, Sicaran Venator, 2x Xiphon Pattern Interceptor
2x20 Tac Marines(Bolter,CCW,BP)+Medic, 10 Tac in Rhino, 10 Special Weapons in Rhino, 20 Assault Marines
2-3 Contemptor, 10 Devastors, 1-2 Legion specific Squads.
Round about 5000 Points. Lots(!) of Infantry, with some vehicle backup.

Sons of Horus – why not?. There is no reason not to take them, but they somehow do not stand out for me
Deathguard – cool guys. Cool Primarch, but I’m a bit afraid of the paint scheme
World Eaters – white, and blue and blood will most certainly look good on the table top.
Alpha Legion – infiltrate everybody! Blue and green looks good. Super easy to change tactics.
Imperial Fists – I’d like to paint yellow. Maybe get rid of one xiphon and buy some rapiers.
Ravenguard – love them as well. But do they use terminators?

As I want those models, and I want the army to be as fluffy as possible, what would be the best pick?

Looking at your list of legions you are interested in, the imperial fists for loyalists and deathguard for traitors fit the bill.

The imperial fists are one of the strongest infantry legions. They do tactical spam pretty well and their sniper veterans packing two heavy bolters is pretty nice.

They also get terminators with storm shields, a thunder hammer that trades concussive for mastercrafted and their terminators can deep strike...

Their Iliastus assault cannon wielding heavy support squads/terminators are pretty nice as well.


Actually if you want to play tacticals and terminators, then imperial fists just do it well.

Their rite of war is cool is you are wanting to go breacher heavy (they also get a specialized breacher called the phalanx warder).

You also get sigismund...

Sigismund is reason enough to play Fists, but Alexis is also fun to take, nothing like having a power fist strike at initiative.

I'm getting a world eaters kinda feel from your unit choices - i haven't looked into tactics/rules yet but the primarch and terminators in a spartan tank is a re-occuring idea when i chat to people about how to run a primarch effectively.

I agree with the previous posters that imperial fists could work well too - i like dorn's DT thunderhawk gunship!

in all seriousness, every legion uses basically everything (only exception is generally destroyers), so you can use ravenguard just fine. Imperial fists are fun, though it sounds like your friends both already play loyalists, so maybe SoH or World Eaters?

Ok, I will order some Marines, and try the different paint schemes. Let's see what I can do best.

So far I thought I would go with the Alpha Legion. Infiltrating everybody seems nice.
But as you suggestet, WE or IF are a good idea as well. Too bad I can't afford 3 armies.
