Okay, so I'm asking here, because I've googled this a lot recently and found nothing.

So, what what happen to the Imperium if Chaos disappeared overnight? Let's say the Warp still existed in all it's glory, but Chaos was completely gone. What would the reactions of the psykers, the Emperor, the Eldar and other factions be?

The Imperium would be in much better shape. It's main and most insidious enemy is gone. With no more worry about demon incursions, chaos cults or black crusades the Imperium could bring it's full might against the remaining enemies, the biggest being Tyranids. The end times would be greatly pushed back.

For the Eldar that's an interesting one. There entire culture for 10,000 years has been shaped by She Who Thirsts, though diffrent branches have reacted differently. With out the chaos gods around much of what the craftworld and harlequins have been driving towards is null, so they might need a new hobby. Darkeldar will likely continue just as before since if the birth of a chaos god couldn't get them to learn anything and change, I doubt the death of one will.

Well, let's see.

The warp would be safer.
The Chaos Gods would be gone
The Imperium of Man would not have to fight Chaos anymore.
Other stuff I can't name off the top of my head right now.

The Emporer is already Slaanesh... The loyalists unwavering loyalty towards him and devout love for him are what keep Slaanesh around lol

On a side note, yet back on topic, if Chaos were to disappear, I would be happy as I would never have to sink another dollar into GWs failed attempts at cohersing us back into 40k as Chaos players and collectors. I would simply, A) Burn my belongings B) Sell my belongings or C) Burn then sell my belongings to someone who wants to "Convert" my melted plastic.

And after a few years we'll have another Eye of Terror and God(ess) of Excess, without Slaanesh siphoning everything up. And we're back to normal.

If it doesn't happen then the Imperium have immeasurable resources freed up, which will probably be used to crush every other major power in the galaxy or curb them substantially, the latter likely being the case for Tyranids and Orks. This includes (but probably not limited too) 20 Chapters of Space Marines, 4 Imperial Battlefleets, countless veteran guardsmen and commanders for just the Cadian Gate forces.

Idk if there are enough darkeldar left to form a new warp god from scratch. the Eldar empire spanned the galaxy and was very numerous. Darkeldar have one city that while large is no were near in population to pre fall eldar.

All I can comment on is the Emperor. He wouldn't have a reaction. He's just a dried up husk, a shell if you will, sitting inside of a tomb.

It would move the "end times" as a threat from chaos to all to the Imperium triumphing over basically everyone else, barring Orks since their nigh impossible to really get rid of 100%

No chaos? looks like it would just be fights amongst Orks, Eldar, Dark Eldar, Tau, Tyranids, Necrons, and human planets that refuse to bow to the order of the imperium.
