Welcome to the 2016 season ... this is the fifth year for the Call To Arms league !

Connect • Consume • Conquer

• The lists this season will be Battle Forged at 2000 points as the default point level ( Playoffs GTs Etc ) however any point level may be played provided both league members agree.

• League members are required to select a single faction at least one week prior to the league's opening day on Sunday January 10th 2016, and post it in the group's "Recent Activity" topic.

• Codex Space Marines requires a specific Chapter to be selected as a Primary faction - this includes the Forge World alternatives.

• Codex Inquistion will not be considered a valid option as a Primary faction.

• That faction will be "locked" for a minimum of 3 games or 3 months: after that period players may select a new faction without penalty, but must adhere to the 3/3 requirement .. rinse & repeat.

• It is not required to have a fully painted & based army during regular season games, however the compulsory minimum must be painted & based during playoff games - in most cases this would include a single HQ choice plus two units of Troops.

• All games played during the regular season plus the playoffs will be based on a d6 roll as ( 1-3 ) Eternal War or ( 4-6 ) Maelstrom. As an option, league members may instead select alternate missions ( e.g. Planet Strike ) if both players agree.

• Scoring has been modified for this season in the interest of keeping the standings close and encourage that more games are played, plus to allow for the variable point levels.

Primary Points are based on the results of the mission itself:

15 to 05 = Full Victory ( Massacre )
13 to 07 = Marginal Victory ( Win / Loss )
10 to 10 = Stalemate ( Draw )

Secondary Points are based on the amount of damage inflicted on an opponent:

01 pts = up to 020 percent
02 pts = up to 040 percent
03 pts = up to 060 percent
04 pts = up to 080 percent
05 pts = up to 100 percent

When calculating damage = units destroyed are worth full points, units below half their starting number are worth half points, a vehicle reduced below half its original number of Hull Points is worth half points, and single models ( e.g. MCs ) are worth half points if they are below half their starting number of Wounds.

• A minimum of nine games is required to become eligible for the playoffs - of those that become eligible, only the top eight players based on their points per game average will qualify for the playoffs. Note: only the scores of your best nine games will be used to determine rankings - such that the lowest earned score for any games played after the ninth will be dropped.

• A minimum of five games is required to receive an invitation to participate in the 2017 season.

• Entry fees for the league will remain as $ 20.00 per player and will be used to cover the various expenses for the season e.g. prize support etc:

$ 10.00 for Prize Support
$ 05.00 for League Dice
$ 05.00 for Extra Life 2016

Prize support for this season will include store credit from both All Things Fun and Top Deck Games plus commemorative trophies unique to the league ... and any other swag that the budget may allow.

Please remember that in addition to the top eight there is also prize support that will be awarded for...

• The Good, The Bad, The WTH
• Player's Choice ( MVP )

I would like to have all entry fees collected before the league officially begins on Sunday January 10th. These can either be paid as cash in person, or sent via PayPal...

...absolutely no scores / results will be reported until a player's league fee has been paid.

• Pending any unseen need to alter the schedule, these are our league days for the 2016 season. Scheduled games are not limited to league days only = they can be played at anytime and at any location. Please remember that league members may not play against the same opponent more than twice.

• Note: because of holiday schedules there will not be a four week break between seasons 2015 and 2016. We are only off for two weeks from the 2015 Season's End on December 27th.

01 / 10 All Things Fun
02 / 07 Top Deck Games
03 / 06 All Things Fun

04 / 03 Top Deck Games
05 / 01 All Things Fun
05 / 29 Top Deck Games

06 / 26 All Things Fun
07 / 24 Top Deck Games
08 / 21 All Things Fun

09 / 18 Playoffs Round 1 ( TDG )
10 / 16 Playoffs Round 2 ( ATF )
11 / 13 Playoffs Round 3 ( TDG )

12 / 11 End of Season

Breakfast before gaming will be at 9:30 AM = the Palace Diner in Berlin on our days at All Things Fun, and Amy's Omelettes in Cherry Hill on days at Top Deck Games. For those interested in food & drinks afterwards - we have a few places to go to e.g. Ott's Green Top, The Pour House, etc.

• Playoffs ... as mentioned previously the top eight players will qualify - pairings in each round will be highest versus lowest - the minimum compulsory for an army being used must be fully painted & based - a minimum of three games must be played with any faction that is used during the playoffs.

• Proxy and Counts As ... for all intents and purposes:

The term "Proxy" will be used to describe a model / unit that is standing in for another model / unit e.g. a Chaos Space Marine Sorcerer as a Space Marine Librarian = proxies may only be used during regular season games, and only with an opponent's permission.

The term "Counts As" will be used to describe a model / unit that is a reasonable alternative for an existing Games Workshop model / unit e.g. Yu Jing Ninja Snipers ( Infinity ) as Eldar Rangers. "Counts As" models / units are allowed during both regular season games and playoff games.
