Boom! Leman Russ Commander






Here is my own interpretation of a stealth battlestar with influences from the Battlestar Sleipnir.

I made this in Maya Lite and got it printed on Shapeways !

Here is how it arrived, the parts are on a simple sprue, the only assembly required is to stick the engines on (they have ball like joints and a square holes for the pipes) and the flight pods.
The pods needed a little trimming to fit but nothing overly major.

And finally painted, this shows the detail alot more.



Over all I am really chuffed with how it has turned out!

Deep Fryer of Mount Doom

Looks good painted with some good detail. Have you thought about adding some decals? The naked 3d print looks pretty featureless with the color of the material and the lighting obliterating the details in the pic. What material did you print it in? Is that WSF?

Yep it was indeed WSF, I was considering painting a pattern into the armour plating to give some additional detail

But with this model I have learned so much with how things will turn out so I will most likely revisit the 3D model and rework it.
