With the new box set out, people at my FLGS are getting more into 30k, and with the hope it might become cheaper, so will I! I've chosen Blood Angels, cuz I like'em, and I already have a 40k army.

This is the army I'm building (off of the box set, which is all I have right now) currently. So far, I only have the Praetor, contemptor, and 15 Tac marines built.

So, I thought I'd share it, just because 30k finally got it's own thread,



Army Special Rule: Stubborn - changed from furious charge, because I suck at getting the charge off.

Total point cost is 2496pts. So yeah, I'm short 4 points.

looks good, though ditch the melta guns. Yeah, your opponent won't always have armored ceramite, but it's generally better to go with other weapons in 30k I've noticed.

You can always swap out the heavy flamer on the Cataphractii for an assault cannon for +5 pts, both the Blood Angels and Imperial Fists have access to this option.

What would you suggest? I'd still like to maintain at least 4 drop pods.

Assault cannons are heavy weapons, and my Cata Terminators don't have Relentless. But I would if I could

Cataphractii are Slow and Purposeful, meaning they can still move and shoot, but can't overwatch.

Plasma is always fun, but expensive, also, cataphractii have slow and purposeful, so they technically do have relentless.

Guess I derped. I'll see what I can do. I still have 15 tac, and my terminators unbuilt.

If I remove an Assault marine (making it an even two 10man squads), and add the assault cannon to the Cata Terminators, I have 14pts left over.
