Hi all! I've finally got my Auxillia planned out, and commission work finished, so I can start painting my stuff! with that said, here's my goal for a 2500 Campaign starting in January where painting is manditory, and C&C would be nice, and I will be on the Loyalsit side for this (alternate heresy! woo!)

Pretty self explanatory list: The Auxilia hold the line (and comms relays) untill the terminators pop in to punch stuff, then everything marches up. Orbital assault doesn't limit allies, but I don't have my book on me ATM to correct me if I'm wrong.

Personally I'd replace the archeotech pistol for a plasma pistol on the Legate Commander, plus toss in some Digital Lasers for that extra attack in melee, but it's all down to personal preferences really, though other than that, it's more or less the same as my own Rogue Trader, minus the Grav-wave generator.

Also, why not give the Legion Praetor a Paragon blade?

Anyone who brings a Spartan with flare shields is going to steamroll this list. There is not enough anti tank

Yup, I'm not to much of a plasma fan, but it's growing on me Also, I did give the praetor a paragon blade Also, the grav-wave is great, make me even harder to charge

Ah, also, why give the Household retinue Prime two charnabal sabres? If you really want to turn it into a beatstick squad you should just give them all power axes, which when paired with their Preferred Enemy [Infantry] makes for a nice Astartes grinder in most cases.

Kinda true: It's not a problem as locally, there's not much in the way of high AV vehicles, and my Anti-tank sits as both the Russ and the Terminators deepstriking (namely the 10-man deathshroud squad with meltabombs )

That was a mis-input on my end . Initially I was going to go with power axes (since you hit the same time as most terminators, with PF:I and +1 WS on them ), but Preferred enemy infantry seems to mesh well with volkite also

Indeed. Preferred enemy infantry volkite fire is "Control-X" on militia infantry squads, adsecularis and rival solar auxilia. It's not so good at heavy infantry like astartes, though, which is what you're more likely to see....

While the Volkite lacks the range of a bolter, it's still an assault weapon with a better S value, plus Veletarii come with laspistols and ccw's as well, so it's always an option to shoot your opponent first and then charge in to deny them a charge of their own.

Maybe it would be worth trimming a couple of termies from each squad and reinvesting the points in a couple of quad mortar rapier batteries?

That would also mean having to drop the Household retinue squad though.
