This my jam. Slower than Armored core. atleast you can turn fast but you walk slow...

At first its hard because the older plwyers got bigger tougher mech with strong guns.

Now if only they added melee it would be like having Dreadnaught and IK.

Had never heard of it. A quick youtube later and I've come to the conclusion that it's a very bad looking and sounding MWO..

preston

Wow.
It looks like someone took the Mechwarrior series and dumbed it down heavily. There are no individual components to be shot, no stripping of armour and breaching of hulls, not munitions limitations, nothing.
And that map.... It looks just like River City.

Free from GW's tyranny and the hobby is looking better for it

...what did you expect from freemium game?

Its for your phone. Did you expect PS4/Xbox1 graphics? Seriously soladrin?

mst of ord, If it becomes too complicated like all that mechwarrior mess, then people would not want to play it. I use to armored core 1-5 my god that hame series was over complex. I tried to get friends to play but they much rather play a more fun game of halo. For individual components, your guns can be shot off and your legs can be crippled.

These people knocking on the game b4 even trying it. Dakka full of haters as always.

j like it and I have been play for about a week and reach lvl 24 thereby unlocking everything. Due to lack of in game currency i can't afford to buy all the mechs n try them.

But from my experience, I regret upgrading my favorite mech n the weapons because of a tier match making algorithm.

This is my personal guide to anyone interested in playing.

Tip 1
Lvl up you weapons n never your mech. Each weapon and mech has a special hidden value used to match you with other players. The mech is worth more value than weapons.

Tip2
the Tiers are rookie, bronze, silver, gold

rookie are matched by player overall lvl tk a certain lvl. I think it was lvl 15.

Bronze tier requires all your light mech to be lvl 1 or at most lvl 2. If you have a lvl 1 mech you can upgrade your 2 light weapons to lvl 7. If your mech is lvl 2 then you would have weapons lvl 5. The mech lvl: weapon lvl is not linear. There are also medium mechs and because they cannhokd more weapons you really have to have lvl 1 med mechs and several lvl 4 weapons. Do not expect heavy mechs. Occasionally 1 heavh mech sneaks irs wah into this low tier.

Silver tier
If you upgrade your mech to lvl 6 or your weapon to lvl 8 then yoh get bumped into this more competitive play environment. Most often you will be out classed and out gunned. Expect many Gold tier players with nearly maxed out set ups sneaking jnto this tier.

Gold tier
If you upgrade your mech to lvl 7 and your weapon to lvl 9 then you now qualify for gold ultra competitive play. People will have maxed out weapons and mechs and wreck your face.

This is only taken into consideration for the active mechs and weapons equiped. Therefore you can switch out that high lvl mech and the high lvl weapons to use weaker mechs and weapons to play in any of the lesser tiers expect rookie.

I bought a gepard mech which cost real $. $ is Au or gold and each piece of Au is a penny. Ag or silver is the in game currency. Wp, not sure what it stands for is a special currency designed to test your patience by making you spend silver to produce Wp after 3 hours of waiting. You spend 40k silver for 40wp for 3 hours. Freemium game at its finest!

So 100 Au or gold is $1. You can earn 30-40Au per say for 2-3 mission objectives such as capturing 18 baecons or kill 18 mechs. You also earn gold if you win the match and rewarded medals such as captureing most beacons or most dmg dealt and mech killed.

The gepard i bought cost $12 which I saved up. The next things I bought were 3 gekko lascannons each $7.50. So $22.50. I had earned $34.50 and spent it wisely on the gepard which is a small mech with 3 light gun mounts for the 3 gekko lascannons. I played and dominated with the gepard n 3 lascannons. I was unaware of how tier match making worked so i upgraded my mech n guns willy nilly into gold/silver tier. Then got owned every game by maxed out players.

If i had known I would have tried to stay in the bronze tier.

Tip 3.
The game rewards baecon capture over raw dmg n kills. so try to capture the beacons instead of using a heavy mech and snipping away dealing little damage. You need to be agressive.

Tip4
The gua punisher (assault cannon) may deal more dmg than than the ac molot (autocannon), it does so at shorter range. If you use the ac molot you can back pedal to a safe distance out of the popular gua punishe's range. If you use the gua punisher you need to get with in 500m to hit.

Tip5
Speed is critical. The faster to capture baecons, the faster to get out of the line of fire, the faster to close up on the enemy. Small mechs are the fastest. Med mechs are slow. Heavy mechs are snails.

Tip6
If you use a Natasha (Heavy mech) and just stand around in a corner sniping small dmg over time jnstead of capturing or at least assisting capturing a baecon i will straight up leave your game and let you lose.

Another tip.

straight up go for Rogatka and 2 medium plasma cannons ftw. these things are so brutal. Good vs light as you dominate small mechs. Good for med. Best vs Heavy as you can jump and shoot them if find a higher elevation where they have to move and re focus.
Also can use cover well and shoot one side.
