Hi Dakka,

I'm planning an AM army, and I really like the idea of a defensive infantry gunline utilising the Imperial Defence Network/Wall of Martyrs - does anyone have any experience with this? what's the best way to go about it?

I'm starting with an 1000pt army, so if it is workable at the points level then fantastic, if not then that's also fine. If I could recieve some advice on;

A) How best to use the Imperial Defence Network/Wall of Martys

B) Which units & loadouts work best with it

C) Are proxies the way to go, or the GW kits?

Much appreciated Dakka, dealing with these things must get tiresome after a while

Quick tactical note, being defensive can work well in my experience, but you will need artillery to cover you and make sure you have some Fast Reaction Teams to help secure if you've been breached or are facing heavy fire on one section. Good units for this;

Hellhounds; fast attack flame death to keep enemy infantry at bay
Chimera Vets; fast units with several different fire power options dependent on what your meta is like (flames or plasma do well)
