Howdy Dakka!

I've played 40k since 3rd grade (right when 4th came out), but it took back seat while I earn a degree. Now that I'm about to graduate I'm keen to get back into the swing of things ... because income. Hopefully dakka is a decent place to start! Looking through my old collection I have about 4-5k points of Dark Angels, a good chunk being DeathWing (which apparently is a bad thing?) and almost 2k worth of IG tanks.
Since my basement became my friend group's battle bunker once our local shop closed I have all their armies at my disposal:
1.5k Khorne
1k Iron Warriors
1k Tyrannids
2k Tau
2k Orks
1k Eldar
A bazillion space marine models/bits

I've read the 7th rulebook as well as the relevant codexes, and played a couple small games on Vassal with a friend. Gotta say, I'm excited to hit the ground running!

And for those interested, I'll be earning a degree in economics this spring. Help me find a job !

Cheers

Hi. Welcome to Dakka

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

If you're all about Space Marines you might look into playing Horus Heresy games. The Dark Angels don't have their own rules yet but that's not as big of a deal as it sounds.

Horus Heresy tends to be a little more old-school and balanced than regular 40k, in my opinion.

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka
