I recently picked up some eldar windriders but I don't understand the rules on eldar jetbikes. Here it is, quoted from the rulebook. "If they do not Turbo-boost, Eldar Jetbikes may move up to 2d6" in the Assault phase, even if they have shot in the preceeding shooting phase or arrived by Deep Strike that turn." What is the relevance of this at all? I thought everything moved 2d6" when charging in assault anyway? And they can already do this after shooting because jetbikes get relentless? So what is the point of this line at all? Then it goes on to say "When Eldar Jetbikes move in the assault phase and do not charge, they treat difficult terrain in the same way as they do in the movement phase." The rules for the assault phase however only really talk about charging, they say nothing about moving without charging. So in what case would this even apply? I've read all of the rules on the phases and the bike and jetbike unit types but I still feel like I am missing something.

Eldar jetbikes can move in the assault phase without charging, similar to jetpack units.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

To elaborate on Happyjew's post - Eldar jetbikes can move in the movement phase, shoot or turbo boost in the shooting phase, and move an additional 2D6" in the assault phase without having to declare a charge on anything. It's to represent their incredible speed and agility.

They cannot turbo and then make the assault move.

I don't think he meant they can do all three at once, just that all three were movement options available to them.

Then the statement was misleading as written. I've known some players try to do that before now.

Yeah, I could have been clearer. Sorry about that.
