Why Aye Ya Canny Dakkanaughts!

At one time there was a codex for iron warriors but it has been discontinued for whatever reason. It would be nice to see an iron warriors codex brought back, perhaps to supplement the lack of range and armour in the chaos codex.
Some nice rules to be added to such a codex:
An iron warriors warpsmith may repair vehicles within 6" rather than base contact.
A squad of iron warriors gains rapid fire and +1 ballistic skill if they have not moved.
All fortifications gain +1 ballistic skill and may take a repair crew.
You may take a formation of 3-5 maulerfiends, they run 2d6 and ignore immobalised on a 3+.
Tanks within 12" of an iron warrior siege lord* may re-roll to hit.

*perhaps a whole new HQ choice (along with the iron warriors 'chapter master') that can be given a couple of nice rules to buff any shooting attacks within 12", maybe even 'bolster defences' for all terrain within 24".

Another HQ that might be nice would be something along the lines of a chaos tech priest with rules like d3 vehicles in your army have the daemon and daemonforge rule or you may choose one vehicle in your army to increase all of its armour values by 1 to a maximum of 14.

There are many other thoughts and ideas I would have for an iron warriors codex but I'd like to here some general thoughts. Is this what CSM needs? Are aome of these rules OP/UP?
I have made stupid suggestions before so I want to know what you think.

Sounds like some rather dull changes. I'd rather just use the 30K IW rules.

I admit that these rules are a bit timid, butvas I said these arevonly a couple of ideas.
Another formation I was toying with the idea was a siege line: some form of several large tanks placed within 12" of each other. Each tank gains rapid fire and twin link on all their weapons as long as they don't move, all enemy units in front of the line hit the tanks front armour regardless of line of sight. All friendly units within 6" behind the line gain a 3+ cover save. If an enemy unit passes between two tanks the tanks may fire its side sponson and turret at the unit.
And what if this formation allowed the inclusion of allied detachment tanks? You could have a line of renegade leman russes along with a baneblade maybe firing all their weapons twice!

Maybe this would be going too far the other way, take a shadowsword and fire its volcano cannon twice, but you get the point.
