How many points is this mate? And does the flatmaster have the master of the Legion rule?

No, but the primarch they've taken as a LoW does.

Why must I always choose beween certain death and probable death.

Ok. Just some suggestions.

Drop the hss, your not exploiting the night lords traits with them, they are not suited to the very cc nature of night lords.

Drop the assault squad to buff the 2nd one, 20 guys in the same squad is much better and cheap that 2 separate squads.

The vet squad is also a bit of a waste too, drop them for a terror squad, as your taking curze the fear tests against them are at -1, -2 if he joins them (doesn't need to)

Drop the vindicator too or upgrade it to a laser vindicator, it's better at killing tanks.

Night Lords are a primarily heavy infantry army, so you want lots of assault units to take advantage of thier rules, throw in a contemptor or 2 and make sure your units are large enough to outnumber the enemy, the +1 to wound is excellent with power swords and axes, it is wasted on fists and mauls.

For rites of war I'd suggest angels Wrath, hit and run are suited perfectly to the night lords with jump packs.
