Hi
I am moving to Manchester (Sale) early in January and was looking for gamers, clubs, shops etc that run gaming nights if anyone knows of any good ones?
I came back to 40k about 3 years ago after 17-18 years of not playing. I have had various armies but at present only have a small guard army and a decent sized Tau army. For most of the last 18 months I have played 30k and have 3 different legions of various sizes. In the last few months I have started playing X-Wing as well.
If anyone fancies a game or can reccomend good places to go, please give me a shout on here.
Cheers
Jimmy

I don't know about X-Wing as I don't play it, but for 40k, GW in the Arndale does Thursday nights 6pm to 9pm and Saturday morning 11am to 2pm. There might be a beginners day on Sunday, not too sure. Horus Heresy is done on Friday nights. They also have a Facebook group called 'GW manchester gamers group', you could probably arrange a few games in there.
Sadly I'm not there too often, being a full-time student takes up a lot of time (and at the minute I'm home in Derby for the holidays). But there is a pretty good turn out and the aforementioned group has friendly people who will be willing for a game.

Hi Jimmy, a few miles south of Manchester there's the North West Gaming Club in Stockport next to Elemental Games, that's well worth a visit and they do late nights.

Sounds good and thanks for the reply.
Do either of these have a website at all?
Cheers.

I only game at my friend's house but, as above, there's http://elementgames.co.uk/ which I do order from a lot.
Their gaming hall is NWGC.

The NWGC is mainly just the Facebook group. You might want to wait until the weather gets warmer to use it, though, as it gets so cold you find the occasional lost penguin wandered around it during October/November through to around March or so.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Hit up Fanboy3, their website is archaic, but they have tournament and gaming scenes for X-Wing, Clix, and many of the tabletop bits. They have Facebook groups and puck up games are very easy.

Their windows are often dripping with condensation.
And it's a shame as a city centre gaming location would be cool.
