Some of you have heard hints that I've been working on a new edition of the YAMS cards, and now it's reached the point for alpha testing by a wider group.

NOTE - THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS!

If you haven't heard of YAMS, it was a set of random cards for generating mission objectives that was created four years ago, and became the standard for Infinity tournaments up until Corvus Belli released official ITS missions. You can download the old 1.1 version here.

Roughly speaking, YAMS2 has been expanded, and broken down into three main sections:

Objective Cards and Markers

The core of the system is still the objective cards with the missions on, but these have been tweaked and rebalanced. The tabletop objectives have expanded as well, and a higher propotion of the objective cards interact with them.

Strategy Cards

A separate deck of cards, these represent pre-battle scouting and espionage, and let you do things like remove an opponent's ability to keep back a reserve model, or increase the Infiltration level of one of you skirmishers etc.

Battlefield Conditions

To make the game less predictable, the layout of the Deployment Zones is randomised before the game, and there may be a Storm in the first turn that reduces visibility and movement, or an Exclusion Zone.
