Hello. Long time lurker, but recently decided to join. I'm starting up a Skitarii army for 40K. Hopefully an equivalent will exist for HH soon. For the Omnissiah! For the Machine God!

edit: apparently Mechanicum does exist for Forgeworld. I'm probably going to get a few models (Archmagos model definitely)

Curious, are there any other Adeptus Mechanicus players out there? Or is this army so recent that very few people actually play it?

Welcome to Dakka! There are a number of mechanicus players at my local scene. Looking forward to seeing some draft lists and the commentary around them.

I used to be one that believed that you needed to used them just for formations and allies, but I really think you can use them as your own stand alone force. However, you have to keep in mind you won't have the tactical flexibility/ forgiveness other armies have - given poor save/toughness models. Little initial food for thought.
