Hey guys!

I just got a box of 10 grey Knights and was wandering what the best loadout would be?
I want to use 2 squads of 5 purifier and a combatt squaded 10 man interceptor unit.
Purifiers are embarked on a stormraven.

I was thinkimg something like 2 incinerators and 2 halberds (had the points) for the purifiers.
Not sure at all for the interceptor squad

I have just acquired 5 purifiers today.....I too am wondering the best load out for them.

I've found the best loadout for Purifiers is 1x hammer, 4x Incinerators, and Meltabombs on the Sgt. Ideally they're in some kind of transport (Stormraven works great).

Incinerators are a slight waste on Purifiers due to their cleansing flame. If CF does work on the enemies than the incinerators could be worthless. I like to keep mine cheap.

I make bad decisions and think they are good.

Second this. Purifiers have CF and an extra attack. Keep as many CC weapons as possible to mop up anything left behind after you use your powers. I'd stick to one hammer and the rest swords. Maybe falchions if you have the points.

Interceptors on the other hand should take as many incinerators as possible. Template weapons are always good on jump infantry, especially jump infantry that can make a 30" shunt.

I was actually thinking about 2 psycannons on the squad and put them with coteaz on my fortification. Keep them stood still and anything deep striking or similar takes 14 psycannon shots plus a cleansing flame.

Edit: 8 psycannon shots....my bad

Cannot agree on this.
Whole beauty of p Purifiers is that you can jam both Incies and CF in one turn for the great justice.
Beautiful versus hordes. Decent versus armored guys.

Having that +2 ap3 attack ain't gonna make a difference. You are not supposed to be in HtH with something more HTH profiled in first place.

Having an additional Flamer for 5 Pts, however, is truly a different set of pieces.

Especially since that Flamer is S6 AP4...

I use 30 Purifiers.

I like Quad Psycannons on them. I put 1 sword, 4 Halberds and a Daemonhammer in the unit. I give them a Lazerback to mount their melee half up in and that is how i do it.

On occassion when I am feeling particularly sparky, I might throw a meltabomb in there somewhere.

Been a while since i played with my Grey Knights but I do love Purifiers. Way better when they could be Objective Secured though. Losing that hurt the army I play.

Generally I am setting up in the center in round one and then round 2, so no real shooting. Second round I am flooding the field with firepower. 20 Psycannons in all. It's a fairly oppressive amount of Firepower. Meanwhile the melee half of the army is advancing and keeping the enemy in place more or less to be deluged.

Now does it always work? Nope. No plan ever does. But its fairly spectacular.

If you're using Psycannon on Purifiers, take a full 10 with 4 cannons. Combat Squad them into a Bunker and find the other five a Stormraven or pod.

Otherwise Incinerators are a very good 5 pts.

Always Combat Squad - 2x the warp charges that way.
