Hi everyone, I recently completed a squad of 5 seraphim as a Christmas Gift for my Brother and they successfully arrived in New Zealand in time for the big day yesterday.

They were a blast to paint! Hard to believe most of these scultps are around 20 years old. I still think they stand up strong today. I noticed GW doesn't even sell this kit anymore though, so I had to buy it from eBay?

Anyway, comments are appreciated!

Close-Ups

I don't get to paint much 40k these days, so I wanted to see how they stacked up against my Skitarii that I painted over the summer. They look good and would make a cool themed force, don't you think?

Thanks for reading :-)

They look really good.
It takes skill to take a both classic and uneventfull (all that black) sheme and make it look detailed and sharp.
You obviously have that skill.

And they do line up nicely with the Marsians

Thanks for the positive comments everyone! If it interests you, these were painted from white undercoat, so it was very easy to get those nice bright colours. For example the flesh is:
1. Kislev Flesh
2. Reikland Fleshwash
3. Highlight - Kislev Flesh
4. Highlight - Screaming Skull.

Nice and simples :-)

Nice. The Seraphim sculpts are great but I've broken so many of the base connectors, that's the only annoying thing about those models.

I really like the faces. The two looking straight forwards look like Tom Cruise in a wig but I think that's the sculpt.

Thanks! Haha yeah I can see the Tom Cruise resemblence with the one on the right!

Hopefully none of the connectors will snap, I used loads of greenstuff to cement the metal tabs into the slotta bases.

They made it to New Zealand without a scratch :-)

Haha, thanks man! I was going to point you in the direction of this thread when you asked about me doing 40k! :-)

I don't have any plans for 40k in 2016, except for doing another big Necromunda project (chapter 2 of my thread).

I am also really tempted by the Skitarii get started box - but the Fyreslayers are also coming and look really cool - and I am limiting myself to 6 GW miniature purchases this year so...

... I need to think on it! ;-)

Well I came here to say I got onto the little Flickr Pool today with these gals!

It's been a pretty good week so far, getting featured in the main blog yesterday with my Spirit Hosts and getting these girls into the pool today!

Those Sisters look great! I'm pretty sure that's the Order of Our Martyred Lady, am I right? All those little details make me shudder, it must have taken quite a bit of work to get them looking this good.
