The Only Game In Town with be holding an 1500 point Classichammer tournament Saturday January 2nd. Their address is 211 West Main St. Somerville NJ 08876.

Note that as this is a ClassicHammer tournament, we are aiming for not having "face-beating tournament lists" all over the place. See army construction rules below.

There is no painting requirement. It will be a 3 round event. We will be using custom missions, taken in combination from the main rule book.

Armies should be WYSIWYG or as close to it as possible. No unreasonable proxies, like a crisis suit as a thunderwolf.

There is space for 16 players, I would post here or PM me to confirm your spot.

Rounds will last 2 and 30 minutes.

Registration starts at 10:30am, dice roll at 11am.

Army construction rules:

Don't bring a super competitive or face-beating list.

Single source*

1 Classic Force Organization (1-2 HQ, 2-6 Troops, 0-3 Fast/Elite/Heavy)
HQs - No special characters. You may NOT duplicate HQ units.
Troops - Max of 3 of the same types of troops. (IE - 3 squads of tac marines, 3 squads of scouts is fine.)
Elites/Fast/Heavy - No more than 2 of the same unit in any of these slots. (IE - 2 Falcons? Cool. 3 Land raiders? No.)
Lords of War & Fortifications are not allowed.
No more than 3 of the same transport, dedicated or otherwise. (IE - 3 pods? Cool. 5 Wave serpents? No.)

Only troops will score for objectives, so make sure you bring some. Dedicated transports purchased for troops WILL NOT score. This is ClassicHammer after all.

*All armies should be made from a single codex. However, there are many current codices that are designed to work as an ally. As such, certain armies may take units from an allied codex as listed below:
Assassins - may be purchased as an elite slot in any Imperial army.
Inquisition - may be purchased as their respective slot in any Imperial army.
Scions - may be purchased as their respective slot in an Imperial Guard/Astra Militarum army.
Harlequins - may be purchased as their respective slot in a Dark Eldar army.
Covens - may be purchased as their respective slot in a Dark Eldar army.
Skitarri & Cult Mechanicus may select units from both codices in their respective slots to create an AdMech army.

Lastly, Nick and I reserve the right to change or reject lists that are too powerful or not in the spirit of this event. Post here or message myself or Nick (yermom here on dakka) your list in advance if you want to be sure you're good to play. I don't expect there to be any problems with lists, but this is a nice disclaimer.

By no special HQ characters, do you mean no named characters at all? Like Kharn the Betrayer, for example?

Message me if you have a serious contender for a weak / lowly special character. But the idea is to not have special characters and rather have something of your own design.

Is there a fee to enter? Prize support?

Usually they do $20, all of which is given out in prize support. But that is a fair question. What CAN brown do for us?

Wow sounds awesome! Wish i could be there, of course its on one of the few Saturdays a year that I work lol.

Just getting back into 40k, really hope you guys have more events like this soon.
