This is my current Ravenwing TAC list. It's proven to be pretty competitive so far even against the like of Tau and Eldar jetbike spam. I've learned against Tau that my Librarians using the Dark Angels powers can be a real nuisance, especially along the lines of making storm surges snap fire, or placing that debuff on the buffmander so it's a real detriment to join him to other units. It has some detriment against a heavy flying list, but only vehicles. That many TL bolter shots and the ability to jink all the time since I'm snap firing anyways is very useful against FMC.

The entire detachment has to either start on the table or in reserves, and since flyers cannot start on the table, the entire detachment must start in reserves, meaning that the list is auto-tabled turn 1. To fix it, you could probably replace one grav bike squad and one Dark Talon with 2 Nephilim Jetfighters and run the Silence Squadron. Then the flyers could start in reserves (as they must), but the bikes could start the game on the table. Would be a pretty powerful list.

Actually I'm not sure if this is my just my FLGS that does this for tournaments, but the speed of the raven rule states they must be placed in reserves or deployed normally. A flyer starting in reserves is deployed normally. A bike starting on the table is deployed normally. This is how my game store plays it. So by that I can play this list normally. Jetfighter's would be an answer to this, but they are such a bad model. I'd probably shift points for a ravenwing support squadron then.

You'd better be served with RWBK instead of this much Grav Bikes. Try to toy with numbers and rearrange your squads keeping this in mind.
And for any squad 5+ man, consider a meltabomb.

Yeah Black Knights are the reason to play Ravenwing. You'll at least want one full Command Squad with six dudes, Apothecary, and Champion for challenges. Librarians can hide in there. Banner is optional if you want it to look cool but I don't think it's worth the points.
If you're ok with mixing Chapters (I'm not) then lots of peoples talk about allying with a White Scars Librarian Conclave on bikes with Hunter's Eye etc. Much better than just three Librarians. Then you'd need another HQ; consider an Interrogator-Chaplain to supercharge those rending hammers with Zealot.
There are good arguments both ways about flyers in the Ravenwing Strike Force detachment. Check with your tournament organizer, their FAQ, or your opponent ahead of time. If you have to drop the flyers, that's not a big loss. Replace them with something valuable like an Imperial Knight or Culexus or Ravenwing Support Squad (which is also awesome BTW).
Against Tau, you want Invisibility, otherwise you're gonna have A Bad Game. Target the markerlights of course.
