I am starting a blood angels army and among my planned purchases I plan on getting 2 rhinos but I realised I could get a stormraven for about the same price so what is better as I know blood angel rhinos have fast for free but how does the transport capability stack up (I am planning on an assault oriented army possibly allied with my DA or my IG)

Depends, what do you already have? Rhinos are good transports, but thats all they are. They're good for protecting your tac squads and rushing/sitting on objectives.

Stormtalons are a little bit different. They have some decent anti-MC/Vehicle firepower and are a good assault transport.

Well, if you start an army, you will need to fill out the mandatory slots first. This means two Tacticals and one HQ.
I'd give each Tactical a Rhino for maneuverability.
A Stormraven is a different issue. He should better transport Termies with storm shields.
