So I was looking into re entering the hobby and once again playing Warhammer 40k on a semi regular basis, My girlfriend has also shown interest but living In Sparta TN We are in somewhat of a Warhammer 40k deadzone. While people in the area may very well play most places are kind of holes in the wall, tucked away and unadvertised, many lack an internet presence stating that they have 40k in any form. I first got started back about 10 years ago at a place in Jamestown TN called Hangar 18, Soon it closed. for a short time a place called Galaxy Games opened in cookeville TN and in the short span of about 4 months also closed. I use to also play at Hobby Town in knoxville but from my understanding the scene has died down and tournaments have become almost non existent.

With that said I am now looking to the community to find a place to enjoy the hobby. While building and painting models is fun and I could just play with my girlfriend I want to find tournaments and places to test and hone my skill with a wider variety of players. So In the middle TN areas somewhat between Nashville and Knoxville (preferably Knoxville as it is closest to me) are there any clubs or stores with a strong Warhammer 40k player base with tournaments and general free play? To some extent I would even be willing to play local house games with a smaller group closer to home but mostly I am just looking to see how well the hobby is doing in the middle TN area and where are some good places to play.

I have also used the Player finder and received 2 hits within 100 miles. On the surface Middle TN seems to be a dead zone, Stores open and collapse. I suppose the economy is partly to blame but it is oddly funny and silly . Spend hundreds of hours and dollars on armies to use in a miniature game with no one to play with anymore Haha. .....
