During Reaper’s Bones Kickstarter, it became apparent to everyone that one of the best uses for Bones Plastic material is to create massive minis that are relatively inexpensive.

It is great for the slightly large monsters (I’d rather spend less on ogres and bugbears) but it is particularly great for some of the absolutely massive minis that in the past have put me back hundreds.

Here is Khanjira the World Breaker- a fantastic monster that resembles the Pathfinder Terrasque. To me, he looks just right to be the Iron Kingdoms Chimera- an insane dragon whose shape keeps changing.

To go with this interpretation, I used a sort of “Everblight” composition for him- light colored skin with dark colored armor plating.

Overall, I feel this approach worked quite well. Have a look:

That is sweet

Only slight point c&c is the base, it could use just a little bit of variation on the stones.

Life is like a box of chocolates. A cheap, thoughtless and perfunctory gift nobody ever asked for. Unreturnable because all you get back is another box of chocolates. So you're stuck with this undefinable whipped mint crap that you mindlessly wolf down because there's nothing left to drink. Sure once in a while there's a peanut butter cup or a English toffee, but they're gone too fast and the taste is fleeting. So you end up with nothing but broken bits of hardened jelly and teeth shattering nuts. If you're desperate enough to eat those all you've got left is a. An empty box, filled with useless brown paper wrappers.

Very cool, like it a lot. It's an unusual skin tone pulled off well.

Sometimes, I prime them. When I do, I use Duplicolor Sandable primer.

Sometimes, the primed mini has a slight tackiness that goes away completely when you apply one color of acrylic over it.

I don't prime my bones minis when they're smaller and when the first layer of paint I want to apply is Reaper. I haven't done much experimentation, so I don't know which lines that aren't Reaper work well as a first coat over bones.

You just made me go pledge a bunch of money for Bones III, Thanks...

Awesome model btw i really like the color selection.

Glory is fleeting, but obscurity lasts forever.

Considering also your duty as a warrior you should not waver. Because there is nothing more auspicious for a warrior than a righteous war.

I'm getting the GoreMaw the Devourer- although it is quite probable that my wife will claim that mini. I guess it is her turn to get the massive mini- she got Nethyrmaul the first time around, and I got Khanjira for Bones II.

I didn't pick up the five headed dragon- mostly because we've got a whole lot of massive dragons around here, so I just can't feel the need for one more.
