Captains and command squads have access to pretty much any wargear the want and most have terminator honours, so what colour would a Dark Angels Battle Company Captain and his command squads Terminator armour be if they chose to go to war in terminator armour? Would it be green because they're part of a Battle Company, or would it be bone because Terminator armour comes from the Deathwing.

Same for a Battle Company Captain and command squad which chooses to go into battle on bikes, would the armour be black like the Ravenwing or the green of a battle company?

Thanks!

All Captains in the Dark Angels are members of the Deathwing/Inner Circle, so theoretically the terminator armor would be Deathwing bone color. I don't think it would be out of the question for it to be green though.

Also, the only bikes in all of the Dark Angels are used by Ravenwing or Inner Circle augmentations like Librarians. There is no way for a Company Master or Command Squad to take bikes. It just isn't an option.

All termie armour is bone unless they are a chaplain or librarian, and all bikes are black. There's a member on here that does video battle reports and his ravening bikers are green, and it really winds me up more than it should do...

Having said that, your army, your models, your rules in regards to painting them. Generally, even if I don't like the paint scheme, a paint scheme is a million times better than looking at the boring unpainted units of the guys who can't be bothered or are power gamers so want to keep the value as high as possible to sell for when the next in vogue army comes out.

In older fluff, there were Battle Company bikes, which were painted green.

The goal of Ravenwing is pretty specialized: to hunt down the fallen (without knowing why, or who exactly they are). While they're pressed into service as recon for battle companies, all other Codex Chapters can have fast attack or even Tactical squads mount up in bikes, attack bikes, and landspeeders as needed. It's silly to think that only Ravenwing members know how to ride a bike.

From a rules perspective, of course, it's tough to do DA and include cool options like Deathwing/Ravenwing without also limiting them, so that's one reason DA no longer have access to battle company bikes.

I say green. All Librarians are members of the Deathwing/Inner Circle yet the GW Terminator Librarian has *green* pads not white. Also the original Space Hulk computer game had you being briefed by the apparent chapter master who also wore green Terminator armour.

I would go for bone armour, but with green pauldrons to signify that he's attached to a battle company. If you change the colour of all of the armour away from bone to green, you'll upset the machine spirit...

First company armour would be white. The Master of the third company would no longer be a member of the first company. It would be green. Fluff wise there have been Deathwing Sergeants who were promoted to Company Master, who then no longer served with the first company.
