A friend of mine gave me a Shadowsword scratchbuild for Xmas, however I can't find the rules in any of the books I own. Can anyone point me to where I might find them?

Nevermind, I have the rules in the Escalation book after all (assuming they're still valid).

The Baneblade and it's variants are now in the Mont'Ka book, I don't know if there were any changes though.

I believe Escalation is still the valid ruleset, though I haven't seen Mont'ka to see if that might supersede it.

I noticed some odd little quirks in the Mont'ka rules for the Baneblade variants, like not being able to swap the sponson heavy bolters for heavy flamers on some variants because the option is not listed like it is in Escalation. Other than that, Escalation rules are the same (ever so slightly better you could say, if you really liked those Heavy Flamer sponsons).

Probably gonna smack the LC/TLHB sponsons on the sides in any case.

In Mont'ka, only the Baneblade does not permit sponson heavy flamers. They're not an option for the Baneblade in Escalation either.

In Imperial Armour volume two second edition, the baneblade is sligthly cheaper, IIRC, and has better options (like: to have 14 to his side blindage value).
But in this book it is noted "Apocalypse Only"...

Huh, never noticed that - I always thought all the Baneblade variants could take heavy flamers.

Well, in that case Mont'ka is exactly the same as Escalation then.

You probably would be best getting Escalation anyway for the fortifications.
