Piercing the heavens

Hi guys! I spare you the usual "this is why I haven't been posting in a while" crap to get to the meat of things.

I am a BIG fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, of the all the comics, shows and movies I grew up with they're my absolute favourite. For quite some time I've been searching for some way to re-create them in a proper wargaming scale. Via a Facebook group for the Batman Miniatures Game I finally got pointed in the right direction: There are actually several smaller sculptors and companies that either make TMNT minis or something that's very close. I got mine from kahaminiatures, they were a limited run and I got lucky he still had some.

Seriously, owning these makes me so happy. If I could get my group to play the Batman Miniatures Game I would probably work on a way to get them in there somehow.

But, you know how it is, it never stops with the first thing you do for a project. I wanted more. Still looking at the BMG and how it evolved I decided I wanted miniatures for all the important characters from my favourite franchise, starting with my favourites: Bebop and Rocksteady, the way they are in the current IDW comic books. I absolutely love that series and the 2 mutant henchmen perfectly encapsulate whatÄs so great about it: A serious, but still funny re-imagening of classic characters. Now, Bebop and Rocksteady are still two down-on-their-luck punkers who get recruited and mutated by the Foot. They are both still dumb as half a brick each. But they are also super strong and basically indestructible.

I knew where to start. I needed an Ogryn body and something that would look good with Kromlech's pig heads. Finding the right Rhino parts actually took the most time, but I am very satisfied with the results.

What's next? Well, Kahaminiatures has a perfect base for a Slash miniature and I'm still looking into Shredder, who ideally would be based on the IDW version as well. I will probably get the Not-Splinter from Greebo.

c&c welcome.
