Ok, so I've just been messing about with the idea of using some A-Wings since I now have 4 of them. Here's a quick list I just threw together to see how it would work.

Poe Dameron (38)
Push the Limit
R2-D2

Tycho Celchu (34)
A-Wing Test Pilot
Veteran Instincts
Push the Limit
Proton Rockets
Munitions Failsafe

Jake Farrel (28)
A-Wing Test Pilot
Veteran Instincts
Wired
Chardaan Refit
Shield Upgrade

I know Veteran Instincts is the preferred way to run Poe, but unless (more likely until) I get another Falcon or Slave One I only have the 2 copies. Plus I've heard PTL Poe is more fun. I've barely played so far, so I won't be getting into any serious competition just yet.

PTL Poe really suffers from a lack of greens. You're better off with lone wolf if you don't want to use VI. And you should at least have integrated astromech if you aren't taking autothrusters, since it costs zero points.

Tycho should have autothrusters or stealth device, not munitions failsafe. With 5 dice and focus + TL you just don't miss very often. Even a 1-point initiative bid is better than the failsafe.

Jake desperately needs PTL. Wired is utterly useless since it only triggers on a k-turn. And while you're at it, turn the shield upgrade into a proton rocket and autothrusters/stealth.

This is probably going to put you over on points, so pick one of the a-wings to use with Poe and trade the other for a slightly cheaper ship.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

I actually had Integrated Astromech on Poe in the Squad Builder, but forgot about it since I don't have the card yet. Is IA better than Autothrusters typically?

The list will be very tight, so I may end up having to drop one of the A's for a B-Wing. Otherwise, I need to keep the Chardaan Refit on one of the A-Wings to make them both fit in. I do like the suggestions though, and as soon as I get a T-70 single pack I'll probably try this list out.

This is what it looks like after Peregrine's suggestions:

Poe Dameron (36)
Lone Wolf
R5-P9
Integrated Astromech

Tycho Celchu (35)
A-Wing Test Pilot
Veteran Instincts
Push the Limit
Proton Rockets
Autothrusters

Jake Farrel (29)
A-Wing Test Pilot
Veteran Instincts
Push the Limit
Chardaan Refit
Autothrusters

I haven't done the math, but Integrated Astromech prevents you from a single (well timed) crit. It is great if you don't have boost naturally. Autothrusters have more restrictions (range, arc, etc) but I believe is superior on any ship that has boost. This is particularly true with the sheer avalanche of TLT Y-wings in the meta right now.

Been curious about this. Are TLT Ys generally run with the title?

Generally only with Stressbot (R3-A2) to be able to double-stress at range 3. Mostly, the strength of TLTY's is that you pick up reliable damage on the target, and don't need an arc. The extra 2-dice attack is not worth restricting yourself to the Y-wings arc.

Q: What do you call a Dinosaur Handpuppet?

A: A Maniraptor

I agree with Crazy Caranifex as to the title. REALLY good players can make the title work without the stress bot... but I'm not that good.

Do you double stress or triple stress? I thought you gave out 3 and got 3 since there are 3 attacks with tlt ( and primary)

I'm pretty sure that this is the official ruling.
The TLT is two attacks, but without the declare target and check range parts... since R3-A2 gives the stress at the declare target part, you only give 1 stress for the TLT attack. You need the title to give the second stress. (Technically, you perform the primary weapon attack first, THEN the TLT attack).

Yes, that's how it works.

By contrast, Tactician's triggering condition is more broad (you merely have to perform an attack), and so it triggers twice when you shoot a TLT. That was the whole schtick with the 3 KWing list that did well at the world championships - each ship could potentially double-stress an opponent.
