Hi folks, had a little search for similar topics but didn't dig up what I wanted.

I'm after some recommendations on paint brushes, I currently use an army Painter character brush and citadel fine detail brush for the most part. They're starting to get a bit worn and I'd link to think I've improved somewhat with my painting so would like to treat myself to some good quality brushes. Could you recommend me some good brushes that tie in to that sort of size and any others that would make life easier. I'm in the UK also.

If you're in the UK check out Rosemary & Co., their 33. series pure kolinsky sable are cracking brushes, comparable to W & N imo for substantially. less (40 - 50%). I do the majority of my painting with a size 1 and 0 from that range now..

I have to recommend Rosemary & Co, especially since you are in the UK. I've used them for quite a while now, running alongside some W&N Series 7 brushes. The only difference I've noticed is that the R&Co brushes have a slimmer belly (which helps to limit the amount of paint in the bristles, decreasing the risk for paint to absorb further up into the ferrule).

Additionally, I've used both the R&Co "Kolinsky Sable" and "Pure Sable" brushes, and recommend them both. I now exclusively use Kolinsky, but I have some of their Pure Sable backups stored away.

I use size 0, 1, 2.

Actively searching for Hobbyists and Wargamers in the N. Dallas area!
