So I have a tournament coming up at my local store and I did pretty well in the last one with a different army so I wanted to give my CSM a run again. I've come up with a list to run Mr. Armless himself in a kinda unconventional way and I was hoping to get some feedback from dakka.

So the plan is to leave the cultists and the herald behind the aegis to get re roll reserves, put Abaddon in the unit of Bloodcrushers so now he gets wounded by grav on 6's and gives them a 2+ save and an eternal warrior guy in the front, this squad then deepstrikes and drags the bloodletters with the banner on with them and precision deepstrikes them and then that 2nd banner allows all the other daemon units to precision deepstrike even closer to the enemy.

Cypher outflanks the troop chosen who have preferred enemy or in the cases I have to deploy the crushers on the board he sticks with them behind the aegis first turn!

Oblits do what oblits do and, Heldrake Flames dudes to death!

What do you all think? Anything you would change? I'd like to keep Abaddon in the list cuz he is the theme of it all as well! Thanks C and C welcome!

Your 2 issues are the lack of psychic phase and lack of flyer support

Flyers I find I'm not running into a lot (i.e. All the scat bikes and tau) but yes anything with 3 or more flyers is gonna give me fits

But psychic phase I was thinking maybe a culexus? I'll have to figure out what to drop but maybe having him on the table will stop a possible tabling and will help me with thunderwolf stars and the like?

you already have anti psychics, the flesh hounds are amazing and i would rather outflank with them in a large unit than the chosen, i would drop all the meltas on the chosen i would much rather go with all plasma because you have prefered enemy rerolling gets hot. plus you will out range yourself with the plasma. drop the shotgun its useless. you have a heldrake thats all the anti air you need. i would also like to take the kdk as allies where the bloodletters are 10 man strong and the flesh hounds are 15 man strong. abaddon will still take the grav ap2 even if they wound on 6s he will need a better invuln, its better off deepstriking the bloodletters then auto bring in the fleshounds and the oblits. then i reccomend to try to get a quad gun if you need more anti air so you can make use of the herald's bs 7

I'd drop Abaddon for Belakor - with chaos these days you pretty much need invisibility

Then put your hounds together into one big unit so you can run a large invis hound star

Leave the bloodcrushers for summoning on blood tithe table (they are too expensive to spend points on) maybe take some KDK bikers instead with the hounds to make a gorepack formation

Chaosmarauder, I specifically wanted to try to make Abaddon work but yea you're right Be'lakor is a much better (but more expensive) choice.

And -v10megaI never actually thought of just taking an allied detachment so that's definitely an avenue for me to explore (especially with saving points!) but given tau and their uber shooting phases is it viable to take such a big squad of khorne hounds because they can be focused fired so easily or is having abaddons little Death Star enough to make them work in that kind of environment?

Thats why you need balakor + hound star with a juggerlord in it

So for the first time in your life, you can have a Tau player calling you out for being cheesy as his gunline is torn to shreds.
