We get a lot of "here's my list, what do you think" type threads in the X Wing etc sub, there's already a YMDC type sticky, might an army list sticky as found in most other subs be possible?

They work just fine in that sub as a rule.

I disagree with this idea. The forum doesn't get that many new threads as it is, and it's nice to have discussion of each list in a separate thread instead of having to sort through multiple parallel discussions in one thread. The YMDC thread works fine because there's rarely any discussion beyond a single immediate "this is how it works" answer.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices. |

I completely agree. Fresh topics in the X-Wing forum are always a welcomed sight.
The YMDC thread works fine because there's rarely any discussion beyond a single immediate "this is how it works" answer.
It's also worth noting that lots of people skip over the YMDC sticky and start a new thread to ask a rule/game question.

Fair enough, I had just noticed a pattern where people were just starting a new thread on an almost daily basis to discuss the latest random idea that had popped in their head, and thought it might have been "tidier" to have them all in one spot.
Perhaps it would be better to encourage people to try and keep all their lists confined to a "user x's lists thread" rather than start a new thread each time? That way there's no danger of people missing them, and they can all be discussed.
That said, since the idea occurred to me, it doesn't seem to have been happening as much
