Hey I was bought the Battle of Calth box set this Christmas by my fiancée and have decided to create a space marine army using the forge world carcharadon chapter tactics . For those that aren't sure of what they are - All models with this tactic have the fear special rule , tactical marines can exchange bolter/pistol with a close combat weapon or buy one for 1 Point per model and models with this tactic gain the rage special rule once they have destroyed a unit in combat or forced them to fall back.
I was hoping that you lovely people could help me create a fluffy list that can also hold its own against most armies or give me some tips on what space marine units are good and why .
The models that I own at the moment are :

-3 tactical squads
-1 chaplain
-1captain in terminator armour
-1 ironclad dreadnought
-1 contemptor dreadnought
-1 drop pod
-1 assault squad
-1 Terminator squad

I also have a imperial knight

I will be planning on purchasing new units though so if anyone has any suggestions about any others I will be able to buy .

Thanks
Renegade Knight

I will tell you some tips as someone that tried using them on a competitive environment.

1. Their Tactical Marines are still a trap. Until we get two Special Weapons in a squad of ten, they'll always be worse than Grey Hunters. The most you can do is take the Melta Gun and Grav Cannon, grab a Combi-Melta and Melta Bomb, and make sure just half of the ten switched the Bolters for melee weapons. You then combat squad them when they exit the Pod.
2. Their Bikers are still awesome. Grav Guns already do plenty of damage, so it is relatively easy to charge something and sweep it or kill it, and you now have Rage. Same logic applies with Scouts.
3. I like using Tyberos but he's an absolute trap as well. No EW and just a 5++ to work with sucks. Just know you're probably better off with a generic Chapter Master.
4. Being Desperate Allies with everyone sucks. The fact that FW's Imperial Knights can just be taken as a LOW slot kinda mitigates that, but for everything else you want, you'll need formations.

If you want to do something really wild, try a Gladius consisting of a demi-company and the triple Land Raider formation.

Use your Tacs as psuedo-assault squads backed up with ICs. I think this would be a really fun army, especially with Tyberios. Less competitive than some other choices but it's 100% fluffy, original and fun.

The Knight is probably fine doing his own thing, "Desperate Allies" might be hilarious if you're inventing the backstory of your army.

Here's a list I've used with minor success:
CAD
x1 Tyberos
x1 Captain
. Shield Eternal, Thunder Hammer, Bike

x5 Bikers
. 2 Grav Guns
x5 Bikers
. 2 Grav Guns
x5 Bikers
. 2 Grav Guns
x5 Bikers
. Grav Guns

x3 Assault Centurions
. 3 Hurricane Bolters, 3 Melta Guns

x1 Spartan Assault Tank
. Armoured Ceramite, Frag Assault Launchers

CAD
x1 Techmarine
. Servo-Harness

x5 Scouts
. Storm w/ Multi-Melta, Combi-Melta, Melta Bomb, 4 Shotguns
x5 Scouts
. Storm w/ Multi-Melta, Combi-Melta, Melta Bomb, 4 Shotguns

x1 Drop Pod
. Deathwind Launcher

Obviously you could lose the Frag Assault Launchers and Drop Pod, and just use 5 TH/SS Terminators, but Assault Centurions can engage targets at range and swing at I4. They're also more durable vs certain targets, but all AP2 will be in that direction, so obviously Assault Terminators can handle that. YMMV, so there's that.
