I want to repaint my knight and keep the current transfers. They were not sealed on the mini. Can I just wet them again and slide them off or should I just paint over them and start over?

They are a very fragile piece to remove. More than likely if you try to take it off it will rip ... maybe 999 times out of a thousand. I would just paint over them.

BTW: Love your avatar ... I have a tat of Spaceman Spiff on my shoulder.

I've never had luck trying to remove them intact.

But I wouldn't paint over them, I'd remove them otherwise you'll see a ridge in your paintwork where the decals were (not to mention paint doesn't flow well over decals).

Sometimes you can remove them by using masking tape, smoosh it down on to the decal and pull it up and the decal might come up with it. Otherwise you can sand it down using a fine grit sand paper.

But I guess wait and see if anyone has an idea for removing them intact. I suppose if you didn't use any decal setting or solvent solutions, you might just be able to wet them and pull them up again, assuming you can get water under the decal (doesn't help if the top is wet, water needs to get under it).

I'd just buy another decal sheet on eBay for the amount of effort you'd expend removing them. They tend to crack, split and fall apart if you try to peel them off.
