So, My first time ever playing Grey Knights will be in a 1000pt tournament list for my army and the list I had made I feel isn't great so I was wondering could any GK players help me out. The units I have are

Librarian

2x terminator squads

1x paladin squad

1x purgation squad

2x dreadknights

So any suggestions on a list it would help a lot thanks in advance guys

Paladins and purgation squads are dead weight.

Take 2 libs, 2 NDKs and fill with good choices you have.
Nemesis Strike Force, obviously.

Their special FOC, from their codex.

Mandatory to use unless you want to field 3 NDK.

It's very hard to make something out of GK book using them and them only.

Stick to 1 troops squad, better be terminators. Keep them cheap, 5 man 1 Psykannon and 1 hammer is ok.

HQ is Lib with hammer. 2 are good pick and you can go Telepathy finding Invis with decent chances.

2 NDK.

Rest of points you should bank either in allies, or more NDK (taking CAD). Interceptors with flamers are somewhat ok choice too.

HQ- Librarian
2x NDK

Should be your base/start and like half your points right there.

With what you have would try for
2x Librarian each- in a 5 man normal terminator squad- 1 hammer/1 psycannon ea
2x NDK--usually do heavy incinerator and hvy psycannon-- maybe a hammer/sword if you have points. The dual guns are almost always worth it.

Should fill 1k points easily and give you 4 deep strike attempts on T1. Hope your warlord lib gets the deep strike warlord trait.

Also for the librarians---Im not a huge fan of the thunderhammer-- im a big fan of the staff- +2 Str with hammerhand up from the squad = +4 STR = STR 8 AP 4 on normal initiative. 1 hit autokills most things that arent big. An if they are big go force and hope one swing gets in on normal init. Also is cheaper points wise and still allows you to break vehicles, and gives you a better deny the witch roll. Almost always put at least 1 staff in my GK squads now due to this. Its a cheaper thunderhammer really that still swings on init.

Plasma will eat the list for lunch is the main issue I have found with it.

So this is my 1000point list then

Librarian staff with a terminator squad with daemon hammer

Librarian with the staff in a genera tor squad with psycannon

NDK with heavy incinerator and heavy psycannon and daemon hammer
NDK heavy incinerator and heavy psycannon and sword

How many of the units can I deep strike in 1 turn ? Also thanks guys for the help !

Accrording to NSF rules, you may deepstrike anything, if you pass their Reserve Rolls. That means you can potentially be all on the field as so as turn one, or be left tabled if you fail these :/

Your NDK need their personal teleporters bad. Try to roll with 1 Libby for these low points.

ehh Im not huge on tournament play but I dont like to pay the points for the teleporters on the NDK.

As they cost alot of points and you can deepstrike turn 1 possibly for no additional points.

If you go with that and have 29 points would spend it on the librarian- add a level or buy a relic- the book or the armor arent to horrible armor is better on a normal GK captain tho since you can get 3 wounds and it give ITND and FNP

I would drop these and sub for something else:
1x paladin squad
1x purgation squad

and I would def pay the pts for a teleporter on the NDK

Teleporters are mandatory on NDK. With 6" move you will never get anywhere. Relying on Deepstrike with no control to reserves and no scatter reducing is good way to lose the game t1.

Being able to jump 12" inches and a whooping 30" shunt is what makes NDK viable. Without them they are derp material.

If you have the codex then I suggest you go read what the Nemesis Strike Force is and does. You seem to be confused about it.

Here's the basic framework for a cookie-cutter GK army.

HQ: 1x Librarian with staff is required. The other options are meh.
Swap weapons if points allow or for personal preference.

Elite: Purifiers and Paladins are optional.
If points allow and for personal preference, play Paladins or Purifiers. Purifiers require either allied Drop Pods or Rhinos to be effective.

Troops: 1x Terminator squad required. Further Terminators optional.
Each 5 man should have 1 psycannon and at least 1 hammer. After that, if you have the points, add more Terminator squads. Never play the other guys. They're just horrible value.

Fast Attack: All are optional but Interceptors are the best option from this section. Stormravens can be fun but usually over priced.

Heavy Support: Dreadknights essentually required. No other option is competitive here. And every Dreadknight needs a Teleporter. For weapons, I recommend the sword and Heavy Psycannon along with the Heavy Incinerator if points allow.
