If I am running Eldar, is there anything telling me I can;t use Harlequins in my list straight up? Both are Eldar. For example, to use a Harly Troupe as a troops slot choice? This is assuming I am using a rulebook list (which I do atm).

They are different factions, so no. You'd have to go unbound, or take a detachment/formation of Harlequins if you want Troupe.

I think in the old Codex they weren't troops...might be wrong there.

Harlequins use to be an Elite Choice in the old Eldar Codex. Now they have their own separate codex.

However it's not that hard to ally in some Harlequins, as their book as quite a number of small formations that can easily fit in. if you want Objective Secured Harlequins though, you're bum out of luck, as the Harlequins don't have their own HQ choice so you can never use the core rulebook CAD.
