Hey guys,

I was looking at putting more blue effects into my crons, as the standard blue is kinda bland over large surfaces. Is there any way of spicing it up with something to these effect's?

Spoiler:

I've seen other designs done that look good, however everything seems to be done with airbrush. Is there another way to do this stuff without said tooling? I want something to strive for in mah painting progression.

Thanks peoples!

The first one looks airbrushed maybe, the second one maybe sponged? Any help would be appreciated

The above was just thin paint, pointy brush. Highlight up as normal to the colour of the veins, then do veins, then continue the highlight.

Just freehand and good brush control.

You can also do veins in the shade (so if you're blending down, you can use those mixes to do veins too). Depends on the type of marble you're trying to do.

As part of the GW advent calender for last year they released a marble tutorial.

You can basically follow that on a smaller scale (they do it on a terrain piece).

Haven't tried it yet, but this seems doable: http://www.belloflostsouls.net/2014/10/hobby-tutorial-painting-black-marble.html
