Are they worth it with out the pod/transport in a Demi? if so do you take las instead of grav for the range? Or just leave them at home with out a cad for the pods and take reg. Devastators? Seems like centurions lose a lot of their value on foot. Guess you still get a strong objecsec unit though? Leaving a poll thanks!

Correct me if I am wrong, but cant you put three of them in a drop pod + 1 character? Just bring a small allied detachment of some other space marines with min 1 hq and maybe some scouts. Throw in a drop pod and there you go. Considering they work really well with a librarian you are getting exactly what you need.

Grav Cents aren't nearly as potent in the BDC due to their inability to get a drop pod. With that in mind, taking the Lascannon variant isn't terrible. However, you could always ally in a minimum CAD to get Drop Pods for them. I don't think you can take a Drop Pod away from one of the Tactical Squads to give to the Centurions.
