This is what I'm considering for a Daemons list. I know Khorne Daemonkin can probably do it better, but I like that warpstorm chart to much. May try and pickup a herald for an exalted reward to possibly get the book as well. Thoughts?

If you plan to deep strike the bloodletters it would be helpful to get instruments on 2 of the units.

A jugger-herald with the Grimoire would be a nice addition. It's hard to do much with 888 points invested in that....abomination. You'll do much better with a Chaos Knight of Khorne or Kytan Daemon Engine.

My FLGS won't allow forgeworld models sadly or I totally would. I've had the model for the lord of skulls forever and really want to use him even though he's terrible on the table. At least if I get a grimoire into the list I could give him a 3++ save possibly.

One suggestion: Have you considered using Khorne Daemonkin?

You lose the Greater Gifts on the Bloodthirster, but that's the only thing you're taking advantage of that's Chaos Daemons specific - whilst Blood For The Blood God is a very nice rule for an infantry-heavy daemons army, you swap Instability for Fearless, and remove the possibility of the Warp Storm spontaneously screwing you over (you also stop the warp storm spontaneously screwing the enemy over too, so I guess that's a wash).

If you do, I'd split the Flesh Hounds into two packs.

Just take a Chaos Knight, the rules are almost identical. It's weird very weird they won't allow certain models and rules.
