Pretty much like the title says, how many points of Word Bearers would you use before you started adding in Daemon allies and how much points would you use for the Daemons?

Honestly depends on what you want your daemons to marines ratio to be. Do you want a small detachment of daemons or do you want a large contingent of them?
Either way id prefer the former, having around 300-500 in a 2000 point game. No need to really go any higher than that IMO.

whenever you think it looks cool and.or is fluffy with the army. 30k isn't really a "min-max" game as every unit is viable. if you wanted to bring 1000 points of daemons in a 2,500 point list: do it! it would look cool, and probably play just as cool.
I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.
