Title says it all. What is the best deal (price wise) that you've ever gotten for a miniature? My best is finding the old metal Ahriman miniature in a bitz bin for $1.

The some of the deals I got in the store 18 years ago when I started the hobby. I wished I could have convinced myself to just spend all my money on some specific miniatures of the specialist games instead of plastic bretonnians and other toys.

When my former roommate was going to move back to china, I got him and his girlfriend really good celtics tickets for one last big ol' America night out.

Three months later, I got a 2000 point forgeworld Mechanicus army and an imperial knight worth a couple thousand bucks for my birthday.

So I got 2,000$ of forgeworld stuff for about 140$.

The best one I can think of was when I got an original Stormtrooper Sergeant in metal for £1 from a jumble sale in my home town back in 2014, they had Baharroth for the same price but I decided not to buy it.

Sisters of the thorn, Eternal Guard, Autarch, Solitaire, Bastilladon, Varghiests, early 2000s plastic fantasy orcs (like 30 of them) and a carry case for about £80. Everything but the case and Orcs were bnib.

35 space wolves on-sprue new in box with a drop pod and the old Devastator Sprue and Jump Pack sprue for 40 bucks.

This is canadian prices too.

I once got a new box of Fire Dragons for MYR60 (That's aprox. GBP10). I don't think they even knew what they were worth.

I was on EBay, and cycled the screen to see if any new Sisters of Battle armies were posted. A guy posted what at the time was $1,000 worth of Sisters of Battle including an incredible number of the Special weapons and all kinds of Rhinos and so on.

Shockingly he had a Buy-it-now Price attached of $200. So it took me a couple minutes to calculate the value of what he was selling, but I probably hit that button faster than any buy it now option I've ever pressed!

Everything came immaculately wrapped. Never could have gotten into the army without that. Was sooooooo pleased. Am to this day. Adepta Sororitas have won me a GRIP of tournaments.

I also found a metal Emperor's Champion in the same bitz bin for the same price. God I love having a FLGS with a $0.25 (USD) or 5 for $1 bitz bin. They have some pieces from some of the old Inquisitor minis in there right now but not the whole minis. Really considering buying the bitz just so I own them.

all for £100. They were completely unpainted too.

Codex: Demon Hunters for free back in 3rd edition when GW gave you stamps in a FOC for your purchases and you could pick a codex when every option was stamped. Good times.

I just picked up the new Blood Angel Chaplain model from Ebay for £10.

Still £10 for a model but it's half price :S

I got a SM Rhino from a charity shop for £1.50 - complete on sprue! Was well chuffed.

I found an assembled and primed Stormraven Gunship w/ all the bits in a used bin for $10.

approx 1,000 points of SM and a bunch of broken (literally) necrons, paints, basing kit, battle mat and GW case for £40 on gumtree, absolute steal!

Got all of this off craigslist for $100. I thought it was a pretty awesome deal.

Friend of mine's Dad used to clear empty houses for a living... He knew we were into warhammer at the time. He gave me about £500 worth of Space Marines, Eldar and Orks and about two thirds of a metal Thunderhawk

My Buddy had the biggest Chaos army I'd ever seen, and he must've only put £200 into it. When Apocalypse came out he had 17500 pts

About 3 years ago one of the local comic stores decided to drop GW product completely and slashed prices on everything. I picked up a baneblade kit for $20.

A few weeks after that another store decided to drop GW. I picked up 3 DA battleforces for $30/each - the ones with 6 regular bikes, 1 speeder and an attack bike. I grabbed a bunch of other things too, but I don't remember what they were anymore.

The latest win was a store had a land raider return that they decided to sell for $20 instead of ship back to GW. The problem was that it was missing one of the side pieces and had an extra of the other side. I picked it up and called GW. GW sent the missing side.

been to one of the learn to paint workshops at the old games days? personally, I've only heard of it, but getting hundreds (but not thousands) of dollars of model kits sounded too good to be true.

But then, if I had a GW in my area, I'd probably check out the dumpster behind their store occasionally as well.

Almost four years ago I lived in Spokane WA. I had recently moved there and, having been out of the hobby for nearly a decade, decided to get back into it. The main reason being I had a FLGS within 20 minutes of me - the closest I'd ever had to that previously was 2 hours to get to a GW.

After visiting the store a few times and chatting with the owner, a few of the regulars, and a few of the employees, I was ready to make my purchase. He took be back into the "used" section - the store would buy armies / models from people and resell them to other customers or post them on Ebay.

I ended up getting.. Two battlewagons (one of which had a literal baneblade turret ontop of it), three trukks (one of which had extensive high-quality plasticard work and a Valkyrie engine), five bikers, 24 nobz, 117 boyz, 10 lootas, 7 burna boyz, and an ancient scrapped rhino.

Retail it would've been over 200$ for the trukks and battlewagons alone - more if you count the conversion bitz. Then another 300 for the boyz, another 125 for the nobz.. Ect ect.

I got it all for 200$, no tax included. Was really fantastic.
