Hi folks,

I'm putting together several playlists, inspired and specific to several armies. My first work was with the Tau Empire Music scores, but in doing this project 75% of the music I had to turn away because it was "Too Eldar" or "Too Space Marine" or "Too Necron". Actually... a lot of Necron.
I'm posting here the long playlists, that might inspire YOU to share what songs remind you MOST of your army? not just the songs listed, but MORE importantly - YOUR - favourite songs.

Some of you, first response will likely be: "That's not (Insert favourite army)" - I don't mean to be a @!ck, but you can expect me (or anyone) to ignore those comments.
INSTEAD suggest "what song reminds you of your favourite army".

If someone else posts a link, and you ALSO LIKE IT, then say something. Encourage people to share what their favourite epic battle music for that army. I'll do my best to add and tryout your suggestions, because you shared your inspiration, and that's what counts most!!

For this post:
Lets restrict our enthusiasm to the primary armies in this list (for now): Tau, Space Marines, Eldar, Imperial Guard, Necrons

Here are the Youtube playlists:
Space Marines

Tau Empire

Necrons:

Eldar:

Imperial Guard

Once enough feedback has occurred, - as a community we will produce one of these as a collection, with photos (like the Tau Empire 2000pt Movie)

Thank you for your feedback and I very much hope you enjoy the song lists!

Good I see the Tau music mix is in there. I helped contribute to the 2000 point mix. Yay! One of the few shortlisted and had something put in.

My old 40k mix was my iPod on shuffle. I liked a lot of nerdcore when running my army. After all I am playing with plastic doods. Being to serious about it is crazy. Also I don't need any music pumping me up to blood lust while across the table from a donkey cave. Said player has my blood boiling enough as is. MC frontalots diseases of yore is quite nurgley.

I always find some transient Industrial to be fitting.

I have a tradition of listening to Frontline Assembly during my trek over to the game shop, specifically the Air Mech album (which they did the soundtrack for).

Very Grim Dark.

I just loaded up some new Front Line Assembly... it's been over a decade since I've heard any of their works. Holy... man.... they are quantum leaps beyond where they used to be.... and I liked them before! I just heard "Contageon" and... I"M SOLD. Yup, I went out and bought the Album and the AirMech album. I never knew their new sound, sounded so intensely robotic / menacing / exhilirating.

I will now listen to them when ever I paint Necrons. Wow... that's got me in a good funk. Freaking awesome recommendation. Thanks!

I always thought the IG would be more of a "State Anthem of the Russian Federation", the Imperial March from Star Wars, etc, rather than COD-eque music. After all, the regiment being marched off knows it may die to the last man to preserve the Imperium for one more day.

Any hey, why no Ork track? Seem like they would be the most fun of all with some some 'eavy metal.

Not sure if I still have it available but a few years back I made a list on spootify called "warhammer 40k roleplay" to be used in our DH campaign. To all of our surprise it got some 40 or so followers and became the most listened to spootify list with "40k" in it. If you're intrested you should be able to find it easily.

The list is inquisition.

His pattern of returning alive after being declared dead occurred often enough during Cain's career that the Munitorum made a special ruling that Ciaphas Cain is to never be considered dead, despite evidence to the contrary.
