Subject: Original X-wing core set discontinued?

So I was in a local store earlier, and overheard some guys talking to the bloke behind the counter, saying that the original core set for X-wing has been discontinued, with no word of what's going on with it or the cards in it, has anyone else heard anything about this?

FFG's website says it's available and they haven't given any indication of discontinuing it.
When they announced the new core set, they went out of their way to make it a point to say that both core sets will exist as starting points for players.

I would hope not, since it's the only set with Luke, Biggs and Dark Curse.

Yeah, I highly doubt it. I know of some places that have had it on clearance because they thought the FA core was a "replacement" for the original one, but that seems more like ignorance on their part.
