Formations are the thing.. I get it. Its becoming increasingly difficult to become informed on all the Formations in each codex but increasingly difficult to keep current all the formations and rules for campaign, box sets and starter kits. Add the digital or limited releases and one has no idea what to play and what you might see from your opponent. Unless you have unlimited wealth and no life it's hard to keep up.

I suspect there is no way of preparing for the Tourney surprise , I'm often hit with... ' I using this formation" . Most often I've never either heard of it or I've heard but know nothing about. I can live with that. Tourney's require you to prepare.
I remember the first ' Skyhammer' i used. My opponents had to look it up as they could not believe it was a legit formation.

Kinda would like GW to put them up on their page ( insert laughter - after all money is involved )Maybe not all the latest, as it is obviously a marketing tool to sell the latest and newest model/bundle or a gimmick to move inventory. But eventually it would show up allowing it to be used by everyone.Still logic defies GW. as we can't even get Faq's and clearer solutions to the current rules. My hope is dashed and I'll go back to dreaming of my lottery winnings.

Is there a site that has all the formations up to current? There should be a better way!

Thanks for letting me rant. Any thoughts?

I had heard that they maintained one, just googled them, and it looks pretty good from my spot check.

YMMV, not something I’ve reasserted deeply. I mostly keep up on formations by reading rumors/leaks here on Dakka.
