Does Omega Leader only affect attacks from and at Omega Leader or is the locked ship not able to modify its dice against any of your attacks or modify its dice on its attacks?

"Enemy ships that you have locked cannot modify any dice when attacking you or defending against your attacks."

Only attacks directed at Omega Leader, or attacks from Omega Leader at ships on which Omega Leader has a Target Lock.

Synergises really well with Comm Relay!

From page 2 of the rules reference, "you" always means the ship that the card is on, not the player.

My bad, posted a half formed thought.

Comm Relay and Juke.

It's a great little anti-ace. Glom onto a Phantom or Soontir Fel, and poke them to death with relative impunity. Defence dice are not very hot if you can't modify them.

So yeah, given what I said about what "you" means in this game, most card text only affects the ship it is on. There are exceptions, though, such as this guy:

His ability says "the attacker", not "you", so it works for all of your guys.

No, that's the point - his ability is not triggered by "when attacking" (which only works for the ship the ability is attached to), but instead by "when an enemy within your arc of fire is defending".

That's why it works for everyone in the squad.

Omega Leader is indeed a lethal little ace hunter. Comms Relay is a given, and then Juke (normally) or Veteran Instincts (if you are specifically tasking him to hunt PS9-10 aces and think you will have trouble catching them in arc or getting your lock on).

Also, since it'll be unmodified dice only from an opponent, and since tech slots leave your modifications slot free, if you have 3 points spare you could do worse things than attach a stealth device. After all, it annoys the hell out of people with Dark Curse, and his ability is arguably an improved version of the same....
