Ok so my buddy plays Chaos Daemons and runs two squads of 20 man bloodletters. He pays for the up grade for one to be a blood reaper and pays for the 20 point option to have the greater rewards. Now here is where my question comes in, does the greater reward just affect the bloodreaper or iys the entire squad as long as the reaper is still alive and part of the squad. Because it seems kind OPish that entire 20 man bloodletter squad gets the deamon save rule ontop of a +4 FNP or +3 amour save for thick hide.

Thanks in advance for you help!!

Yeah, he cheated or unintentionally fethed up. It affects the model with the reward only.

The rewards only benefits the model who has it. However, some special rules are shared with the unit (such as Hatred or Preferred Enemy).

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Where it gets really obvious is the shooting attacks. Blood letter squads would be amazing if you all got hell fire gaze. 21 shots str8 ap1, bs5? That would be soo ridiculous.

Not to mention you could effectively put 8 heralds In a squad in a single CAD, all but guaranteeing the unit would be souped up beyond belief. If it worked the way he was using it, that is.
