I have a large CSM/ Daemonkin army in the bag, 10000+ points, and I'm still gonna get stuff for that (the aim being to field all the formations maxed out)
but it being the new year I've an inkling to start something different, however i have no idea about other codexes or experience of the other armies available.

i'm wanting about 2500pts (so i have options at 1500pts level) and cheap, that probably means with a few models as possible whilst still being fun to use and at least able to not get tabled regularly.

however i'm not feeling giant robots, so no riptide, knight, wraithknight.

My initial thoughts would be harlequins but what would Dakka recommend?

(mods- if this is in the wrong section, sorry- please feel free to move)

Maybe Dark Eldar would be an interesting option? They can ally with harlequins, really a glass cannon which is very different from playing marines, and have the option to ally with craftworld eldar for some tricks if you ever feel like adding those at some point. Not just for WK but warp spiders and the aspect host in general gives some fun infantry options. Its a fast army that hits hard and offers other varied playstyles with the addition of the coven supplement.

As for a list at 2500 would look like you would need to just do a list searching for something in that point range as I never had played mine at that high of a limit. I too was searching for an army other than my CSM/CD and played a bit with the DE but actually settled on nids as I love MCs and genestealers far too much haha

I would sign this contract but I already ate the potato
