Hey all

Just wondering if you have any thoughts/advice on the process of using medical gauze for camo netting on Russ and chimera tanks.

I've seen a bit online about dirtying the fabric up a bit to make it look weathered.

Victory needs no explanation, defeat allows for none

It can look great.

Yes, you need to soak it in something coloured (some even recommend strong tea!) to get a neutral camo colour, which you can then fancy up with spots of paint if desired.

The other issue is making it hold its shape, drooping naturally over the tank. Most recommend dipping it in diluted PVA glue, squeezing out most of the moisture, and draping it (still damp) into place and letting it dry. Ideally do this with an unpainted model, so that you can then peel it off (it should hold its shape ok) and remove any glue residue from the tank, before adding it back to the painted tank.

Strongly recommend doing some experiments first (e.g. on some scenery), as it takes a bit of practice.
