I was having some issues with figuring out how the new formation in the Get Started Skitarii box works, namely about the stats for units in it. I own the Skitarii books and know the rules for that one, but it also includes a Tech Priest dominus. Does that mean in order to play the formation properly I will need to also get the Cult Mechanicus book as well? The card for the Tech Priest in the box is simply the card that would be included behind the mini in its clampack and only has the stat line. Furthermore, since he has the canticles of the omnissiah does that mean he gets to use that normally even if he is the only unit out there from that army and the Skitarii can use their Doctrina Imperatives? Can he buy items from Arcana Mechanicum and the Skitarii Alpha from their own relics of mars list as well?

Unfortunately yes, you would need that book.

Although you could always use Battlescribe and find all his rules that way. There are several battlescribe rosters out there that have full stats and rules for units. It's what I plan on using for the interim.

Supposedly, we're getting a new Admech book soon that combines the two soon, so definitely hold off on buying it for now.

Maybe some of the older reboxed sets like IG got a reprint of rules but since the mechanicus is new I think they took the lazy route, the rules for the skitarii and the onager are in their booklets, but none are available for the Dominus
